Activities
All activities are going to be facilitated at the involved schools. For the short-term joint staff training events the participating teachers will have the accommodations in a hotel near the schools. The teacher that will take part in the project are the same that developed the idea for this application. If some of them will not be able to take part in the mobilities for personal or health reasons, another teacher with similar competences and interest will take part in the activities. The preparation for these activities will be the research about virtual and hands on experiments and the presentations that will be done during the mobilities
For the short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, the students will be hosted by their partners within the hosting school and the accompanying persons at a hotel near the school. In this way the students will become aware not only of the educational system and of the teaching methodologies but also of the culture and traditions of the hosting country. As the students are going to be hosted in families, it is perceived that the saved money will permit the partner schools to send more students than the number that we are applying for.
The schools involved in the partnership are going to select the students to travel based on their interest and active participation in the projects’ activities, behaviour at school, their school merit, language competences or interest in language learning. In particular students with fewer opportunities due to economic obstacles or social disadvantaged environments are going to be motivated by teachers and tutors to participate in the project and in the mobilities; they will be supported psychologically and economically to be able to participate including meetings with parents.
The students’ preparation will be done at local level by teachers, it will be cultural, pedagogical and linguistic. The students will prepare some experiments to show during their mobilities through a presentation and through hands on experiments. The virtual ones will be done together with their pairs in the hosting country.
The students will travel with accompanying persons and to ensure their safety, they will be available all the time during the mobilities. The schools have an insurance for all the students and teachers that will cover any eventuality.
If any of the 'disadvantaged' students will need to apply for the passport or other documents, the tutors will help them, not only in the procedure but also with economic support. The organisational support will be used even for this.
